Our approach to our work – especially in transformation consulting – is not just to advise our clients, but to accompany them on their journey into the future.
Consistently involving employees
Only if employees are involved in the process of change do they have a chance of understanding this change, making it their own and actively shaping it. This approach increases personal identification with the company and enables truly sustainable change. When people who work for an organization in different roles for a short or long period of time look to the future with their respective perspectives, share them with each other and develop a common vision based on them, enthusiasm can arise.
Conversely, it is difficult to generate this enthusiasm if employees are only informed about new measures and strategies from the top down. For this reason, we involve them in co-creative processes in all our projects.
Coaching Facilitation
Our approach is therefore based on the methods of coaching and facilitation.
In coaching, a coach acts as a sparring partner. While coaches keep an eye on the process, coachees should think for themselves. Coaching usually takes place in smaller groups or even individually. Coaching is characterized by the fact that the participants in the coaching process decide where they want to develop. The coachee has sovereignty over the content of the coaching and the coach usually decides spontaneously which methods are suitable for this purpose.
Facilitation, on the other hand, usually refers to the process of structured discussion in larger groups. A facilitator specifies the process or method (e.g. design thinking, scenario analysis). In facilitation, too, the content comes primarily from the participants.
Both approaches result in a high level of identification of the participants with the content being developed. The discussions that arise in group processes or in individual work with a coach or facilitator usually trigger very profound thought processes. These thought processes are the building blocks on which real transformation can take place.
Our approach to transformation consulting
As coaches and facilitators, we take the following stance:
- Process focus – We design the processes in such a way that they enable our customers to receive answers to their burning questions within a given timeframe.
- Focus on co-creation and collaboration – We always involve our customers and value collaboration and participation over hierarchy and top-down approaches – even though we acknowlegde the importance of including all hierarchies.
- Empathy and humility – We put ourselves in our customers’ shoes and appreciate their successes to date without just bringing in new stuff. Just because digitalization is changing a lot of things doesn’t mean that everything traditional has to be bad.
- Optimism – We trust in our customers’ ability to find the right answers. We always approach our work with optimism and curiosity about the future.
- Appreciation – We value the diversity of opinions that can exist within an organization and try to make these transparent and ensure that they are taken into account in decision-making.
